The last two nights I have taken the time to walk around DC at night and enjoy some of the city. Along the way I found a couple touches of home. I will be back home today and am super excited. The photo below is from the WWII memorial and the one above is the statue of Lafayette in Lafayette Square out in front of the White House. Nice to find these little reminders as I enjoyed DC.
On a personal note, I'd like to publicly thank my wonderful wife for not only putting up with me during the last two months, but for supporting, encouraging and helping me all along the way. She is amazing and I am truly lucky.

I very much enjoy your travel posts.. Thanks for always keeping us abreast. I am curious, who has more miles now you or Wayne?
I doubt I will ever catch up to my big brother :-)
