Worst Case Scenario

Update: Forgot to mention the source of this comic: xkcd - go here and go often. Also, the xkcd blog had a cool post about the Mississippi River Commission plan and the use of spillways to control/manage the flooding of the Mississippi river. The post is called Michael Bay's Scenario and can be found here.

Go here to see the official Inundation Scenarios released by the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Jon Stewart's Star Wars Analogy

You may agree or disagree with Obama but how can you not appreciate this analogy of his presidency by Jon Stewart? Love the Sarah Palin part. The Star Wars analogy begins about 2:30 into this piece. Nerd Slam.

Timberlake and Fallon: The History of Rap

Totally worth five minutes of your time. Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, Soldier Boy, you name it. Pretty funny.

Kudos to Berial for posting the video. I had missed this piece and it was just too well done to not share in this forum.

John Cleese: Soccer vs. Football

This is the Dick Cheney version of creativity, otherwise known as...doing exactly what you are told.

The Original Winger had a John Cleese (British writer, actor and tall person) clip on the other day about offsides which was pretty funny and led me to this Cleese clip that compares Soccer to Football. Pretty funny stuff.

Wasn't such a bad call after all....

Great photo of 2nd England goal that shows it did NOT cross the line. Pretty funny (if you are not a die hard England fan).

Daily Show: Glenn Beck's Nazi Tourette's

In the midst of a long day, this made me laugh both times that I watched it, so I figured I would share. Found on an old fellow co-worker's site: Berial.org. Enjoy a good laugh regardless of your political leanings (I think).

For my wife....

My wife is obsessed with Tetris so I am posting this XKCD cartoon for her. Pretty darn funny.

A Proactive Wall

This was posted over at the World Cup blog today. I've seen it before but it still makes me laugh out loud every time I see it so I felt the need to share it. One day, if I am having a bad week, you just might catch me doing this at my next game.

Seth Meyers on Conan

In need of a good laugh? Seth Meyers breaks down the NBC drama in a way we can all understand. Classic.

One of the funniest things my wife has sent me in a while. Definitely good for at least a chuckle or two. Click on the image above or this text in order to read the whole cartoon.

Ze Frank on Respect

I shared this directly on Facebook and at the known risk of duplicating content in two places, I wanted to post this video on this site as well. One of the reasons I miss The Show due is Ze's ability to whip through topics and narrow down to a succinct point in a way that makes a large number of people (and Kanye) look downright silly.

Kiss My Massachusetts

I've stayed away from the health care topic but this was just too much humor to pass up. Watch Jon Stewart provide some Town Hall Snaps based on Barney Frank's recent confrontation with a Nazi name-calling protester at a health care reform town hall meeting.

Stewart on Bobby Jindal's Republican Response

I've been in a funk for the last few days...dealing with some coaching issues. If there is one thing that can break me out of it every once in a while, it is Jon Stewart. I missed Jindal's response to the Obama speach last week but Jon will tell you everything you need to know.

....and you daydream of punching small animals

If you hate going to work...and you daydream of punching small animals...

I meant to post this for Monday morning but ran out of energy. This was probably one of my favorites in what was a mediocre year in Super Bowl commercials. The game was fantastic!

For the record, my job does not fall into any of the rules noted in this commercial...thankfully.

I'm On Setanta Sports: Final Episode

According to everyone's favorite soccer show host, I'm On Setanta Sports has aired its last and final episode. I've received two emails about this "apocalyptic" news already today. Start the mourning now and watch Jose's farewell. And remember, Be Champions.

Boom Goes the Dynamite

Endlessly entertaining. Rocketboom's, Know Your Meme explains the origin and evolution of Boom Goes the Dynamite. I confess that I did not know this phrase until stumbling on this video, which may mean that I live under a rock somewhere. Not sure. However, don't be surprised if you hear this in my everyday vocabulary at some point.

You can watch the original Brian Collins broadcast here. My favorite part is when he says "Oh No." Watch the video above before you watch the original broadcast, otherwise you will feel really really bad for this guy. If you have the full story though, you just feel kind of bad.
