Today I think if FIFA does not revisit the use of replay it threatens to lose increasing amounts of respect and puts it's existence in jeopardy. It is clear that referee mistakes should not be how games are decided but today there were two totally blown calls on crucial incidents. Along with US calls this WC will already be known as the Bad Call cup. Just because outrageous mistakes were made in the past dies not mean we should not learn from them.
I agree with respect - existence...doubt that will get questioned really. They do need to sort out their mess.
I think it would be interesting to see a comparison of statistics for bad and questionable calls from World Cups over time. Curious if this year is indeed more than past years...
