Evidently, all of cool people in the retirement village are drinking from the Bubba Keg these days. It turns out that retirement villages have fads just like your old high school had fads. I used to "peg" my pant legs (create a tight cuff and roll them up a little). Retirees drink from Bubba Kegs.
At least that's what I thought until this past weekend. The fad has spread even further. This past weekend I was in Washington DC and was having a snack at the Corner Bakery next to the Willard Hotel. The Willard is a famous hotel in DC, its historical guests include Lincoln, Grant, Coolidge, and King. If you're the president, you've probably stayed there. While we were having lunch, a large motorcade was at the back of the hotel. We never found out who it was until the next day. Turns out it was Seyyed Mohammad Khatami, the former president of Iran. No, he was not drinking from a Bubba Keg...but the secret service sure was.
