Eddie Vedder - Hard Sun (Into the Wild)

At this point I am a skeptic regarding new Pearl Jam or Eddie Vedder albums. A lot of things have changed since the days of Ten and long nights alone screaming out the lyrics to Alive with a bottle of wine in my bedroom. Even though I am a skeptic, I'll still check the albums out when possible though...so I grabbed the main track off of the album soundtrack Into the Wild. I'm not sure what the rest of this album sounds like but this song is pretty damn good. The video makes me want to grab a backpack and go find myself again...

And the trailer for the film makes me want to have a midlife crisis and hit the road.

The cd has a few high points.
You have to remember...PJ set the bar very high in 1991...You can not compare them to the 1991 PJ.
Just listen and enjoy the music....don't think about it so hard.
Give Vedder's cd a chance....it's good.

You too can wander into the wilderness seriously unprepared and never return, somehow becoming a romantic hero instead of a contestant for the Darwin award.

I do my share of romanticizing hiking and backpacking, but I don't get the fascination with this story.
