Possession is 9/10th's of the law. As far as I am concerned, I like your new bike.
Move it to the side of your house. Nobody comes and asks for it after a week, it's yours.
if it was me, i would call the local police department, and ask if anyone reported a lost bike. if so...solution found.....if not....say you think someone dropped one in your yard...stolen that is.....
