"Youth" Gets the Call
I don't care who you are, or what your opinion on the past performance if Freddy Adu is...you have to be excited to see him get called up to the national team for the upcoming game vs. Switzerland on 10/17. Add Edu, Szetela, Zizzo, Seitz, Zimmerman, Bradley, Feilhaber, Hall and Findley and it is clear that we may have chance to see more of the new guard in US soccer on display. Obviously Bradley and Feilhaber aren't brand new...but to see the number of younger players increase for this upcoming fixture just makes me excited. Its a shame we won't see Altidore, that would take the cake.

A youth movement is good. We need to get those guys minutes, especially as the Olympics (and Olympic Qalifying?) are coming up. If a group of guys can play at the Olympics, and a good core from that group can contribute to the senior level in terms of WC qualifying, the future looks pretty good. But the US still needs a feared finisher....Altidore? He has a big game w/ RBNY so I hear Bradley didn't call him in so he could help his club.
That said, I am not sure how much field time these young guys will get, but being in camp will help w/ the process.
