Jon Stewart - Clemens On the Hill

Jon Stewart did a piece on Roger Clemens testifying about steroids the other day and it was absolutely hilarious. Clemens' quote 3:00 into this bit just blows my mind.
If I am guilty of anything it is of being too trusting of everyone, wanting to see the best in everyone, being too nice to everyone.
Holy cow. I can't believe that tripe was not edited out of his written statement. Clemens' poker tell and the reason why Republicans seem to defend him (6:20) take the cake. Check it out, trust me that this is worth 8 minutes of your time.

I loved watching this and seeing half the committee wanting his autograph and the other half wanting to hang him. But I still don't see why this had to goto Congress.

I think they all wanted his autograph. Does the gov, have nothing better to do? get a life. IF MLB was not checking at the time, shame on MLB. Why waste tx payers money on such a lame issue. Take the money spent on this and give it to a soup kitchen or a shelter for Pete's (Rose) sake.

This just gives Selig another black eye. The fact that Congress had to step in and do SOMETHING, waste tax payer money, and waste time on professional sports in America, all becuase MLB couldn't and wouldn't test thier players on a regular basis, and call out the cheaters. This whole thing is a sham.

People rag on cycling becuase of the dopers, but to be honest, they are the ones that have it right. Regular tests, no player union interference, the cycling governing body (UCI) holds hearings for cyclists that fail doping tests, and if found guilty, banned for 2 years (the death knoll for a sport where you probably have a peak performance range of 4 to 5 years). Oh, yeah Floyd Landis didn't get a fair trial, boo hoo, BS, he is guilty. Oh, they never caught Lance, boo hoo, never failed a drug test, no smoking gun.

Here, we have one man's word against another. No test, no results, he said she said. Thow them all in jail, throw Selig in jail, throw Congress in jail...
