The Big Picture has an awesome set of photographs of hurricanes as viewed from orbit up on its site. These really give you an appreciation for how big and nasty (yet freakishly beautiful) they can be. This one above (Emily-2005) looks like it is capable of pulling the moon from its orbit.The one below is Ike.
