Bonus Miles

On our way home through Houston yesterday, our flight to Lafayette was canceled. We were automatically re-booked on the next available flight, which happened to be today. That's right, the next available flight was more than 24 hours after our canceled flight. As we stood at the service desk trying to figure out our options, we watched happy Lafayette bound passengers board other flights on the same airline. It made little sense to me.

So we decided to just cancel the flight. We rented a car and added an additional 230 mile tally on our rental car distance stats to top off the vacation. I think that means we drove close to 2800 miles in the last 13 days.

Today, I'm headed back out through Houston to NJ. I wanted to get that one night at home before going back to work...

Wait. Did you drive from NJ back to LFT?!

Mamma mia, that's what, 20 hours?!

Oops. Nope. We drove from Houston to Lafayette. Guess I was unclear... I am not _that_ crazy.

Okay, that makes sense. I guess after driving from Jersey to Canada twice, the 3 hour drive from Houston was a cakewalk!

Safe travels on your next leg!

How was the wedding in CT?

Wedding was great - that part of CT (Redding) is beautiful. Saw a bunch of old LA folks as well.
