The second half of the story: Carlee was not happy with the fact that I cut the drive thru line at Starbucks. Thus, we paid for the drinks of the people we cut. It wasn't all that expensive and the principle of the thing made Carlee feel better. It made me feel silly.
I made it clear to the barista and I will make it clear to you. I thought paying the people back was pretty ridiculous. Basically, I felt like we would encourage more text messaging while in line. However, I was overruled by my wife and keeping her happy is more important than making my point to someone who can't pay attention in line.

ouch....i still side w/ will on this...but at least you can sleep at night knowing you evened out the karma!!!!
True that, Good Karma and a Happy Wife are more important than any other deep rooted principles you may have. I will say that if someone at the drive through in NYC was adjusting the volume on thier radio, and let a gap get to a car's length, you can bet your bottom dollar that at least 6 cars would be gunning for that spot.
The addendum to this story is funnier than the original. Good stuff.
Yeah, in the end, it's just a good story. I would cut those people again. I wouldn't pay for their drinks again though.
