"You may not be taken in the order which you arrived."
This was the sign on a door to my doctor's office yesterday. I found the statement to almost have a religious quality, with a small touch of morbidity.
This type of cr@p really pisses me off lately. I had a 9:00am dentist appointment last Saturday. Had to get one cavity filled, 30 minutes in and out I was told. I get there at 8:50. At 8:57, a mom toting 3 kids comes in. Turns out she missed her 8:00am appointment. And you know what? She goes right in, and I am waiting around for an hour before the dentist is ready for me. Unbelievable. Un-F'ing-believable.
