My last twitter was 60 days ago...clearly not a concept that has gained traction in my life at the moment. My Facebook activity is more active than Twitter, but both have yet to really become as integral to my online space as much as BOB has.
The general impression I get is that you don't really like the back and forth of communicating via internet. You seem to like to put stuff out there to be seen and read, but don't always feel like having a dialogue. So I can see why a blog appeals to you.
