Thank God for the referee. That was one awesome through ball to Landon. Seriously, that was a fun game to watch and we have a long way to go. It is 1 AM and I need to get to bed. I am hoping to have more intelligent thoughts tomorrow night but I will be MIA all day.My three men of the match:

It was worth staying up for, that was for sure. I was pleasantly suprised with the way Landon finally attacked defenders, even from early on. Running at them, keeping them on thier heels, it was like the Landon of old. He needs to bring that mentaility to every game. Also, I have not seen team speed like that from the US in a while. Also, it was good to see Eddy Johnson rough it up a bit with Marquez. It shows that he does care, and can get fired up. He looked more dangerous last night.
How about the Mexican keeper trying to tackle Johnson after Landon's goal? I think that may may some good locker room material heading into WC qualifying next year. Bush-league stuff like that is not going to do Mexico any good. And what's with Blanco? He must be on the carb load diet, looking a little heavy on the feet. How old is that guy, 52?
