Snowballs

It has snowed a lot in parts of the country lately. Coincidentally, it is almost snowball (or snow cone) season here. This snow cone stand, menu is pictured below, opens in March. It happens to be at the end of our street and right next to the drive thru crawfish hut. I don't think I have ever seen a place that actually had drive thru snowcone stands. There are a lot in this part of Louisiana. The Tiger Blood flavor is quite good.

Drive through daiquiris are really popular here in Shreveport. They put the lid on and then a piece of tape across the top. That's supposed to keep you from drinking while driving.

Yeah. They're huge here to. It amazes people from out of town when they come to visit us. You stole my thunder though! The next drive thru photo in my series was going to be for daq's. I guess I still might do it though... :-)

Long Island (a land far far away) has these things called the Dairy Barn. It is pretty much a convenience store, that you drive up to the window, hand the cashier your order, and they rummage around the store shopping for you (milk, bread, eggs, ice cream, cereal, staples like that). It's pretty weird to be honest, just waiting on someone to do your shopping while you sit back in your car eating yo-yo's.

That's great. The weirdest thing to me about the whole description is that you eat yo-yo's.

what do yo-yo's taste like?
i imagine plastic and paint....

Maybe I meant, Ho Ho's. Not sure. Some kind of chocolate confectionary treat...let's make it simple and go w/ Ding Dongs.
