Congelatio (Tom Coughlin's Frostbite)

Congelatio is the medical term for frostbite. The first thing I did after watching the Giants beat the Packers today was to search online for stories about Tom Coughlin's frostbite. Why he did not put on something to protect his face is beyond me. No stories have surfaced just yet, but I am thinking that the news just hasn't broken yet.

This picture doesn't do the damage any justice...but I wasn't able to find any other photo of Coughlin from the game besides this one.

I, too, was very concerned about Tom Coughlin's frostbite. I kept watching in disbelief. I was obsessed. I couldn't look away. I wondered if he had any advisors that he would listen to AT ALL. Was everyone too embarrassed to point it out? Did they think it'd be like saying, "Uh, you have a booger hanging from your nose?" as opposed to "Tomorrow, you're going to need skin grafts?" Did no one understand the gravity of the situation? Will he recover in time to rally his team against the Pats? That guy is going to feel like such an idiot tomorrow, among other things. By the way, I discovered your blog while googling "Tom Coughlin" and "frostbite." (Isn't Technorati amazing?) I'm glad someone's on top of this breaking story. You are to be congratulated. Oh, and thanks for the photo. It brings it all back for me.

I too was worried about Coach Coughlin as I watched last night's game. I googled "Tom Coughlin" and frostbite just now to see if there was any news. I thought he was crazy to be outside like that without anything on his face. The man can coach, though. That's a very disciplined team he has. Seemingly gone are the turnovers and stupid penalties of the past. Go Giants!

Judging by the increase in traffic to the site today, I can tell you that we are not the only ones worried about Tom. Still no news as to his condition though...

And damn straight: Go Giants!

I knew you'd be routing for the Giants, but I called Sun. night to see who your wife was cheering for. For some reason, I had a feeling that she'd want to see Favre and the Packers take the game. . .
