New US MNT Jersey

Someone must like pinstripes over at US Soccer. This is the second jersey with a heavy pinstripe theme. I think I like horizontal stripes better then the previous (baseball-like) vertical stripes of the last jersey.

Seems like the whites are different shades, not sure. Anyway, Soccer by Ives had 175+ comments on this same topic. It didn't fare to well. Most people said it looked like a coach's polo shirt without the collar. Personally, I like it. I wish we could stick to one kind of theme though...

I think that might be a white and then a slight shade of blue...and to me, it looks like I would don this, and head out to my yacht. So yeah. I like it.

We should have stuck with these. They're the best ones I've seen us wear. Not too plain, not too complicated.

Those are very nice, but how bout a real throwback...c'mon, who didn't love this template?!

If we're doing throwbacks, how about this one. Without reading the URL can anyone tell me where those are from?

You can buy that for 35 euros at Toffs.

That 1950 jersey is a classic. Even Nike did a tribute jersey based on that one not long ago. Now that is what I am talking about. A diagonal red sash would be easy to incorporate into a variety of templates, so Nike could still make a new jersey every year, but the sash would remain. That would be a wonderful aspect to bring back, and keep from jersey to jersey. I know Peru does a red sash, but who cares, it is in our history as well.

I agree with rc - consistency across our jersey over the years would be a nice touch. I can see myself buying into the sash template over time.
